Brian is a graduate of Queen’s University who is qualified to practise in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland having worked in the litigation department of Eugene F Collins in Dublin before joining Diamond Heron in 2002. He has a postgraduate qualification in business studies and is a qualified mediator.
With over 20 years experience as a litigator, Brian has extensive knowledge of Commercial Court, Chancery Division, High Court and County Court litigation. Brian’s practice includes plaintiff and defence work and he represents one of the biggest banks in Ireland, acting in residential and commercial repossession litigation, professional negligence issues and contractual cases.
Brian has a can do attitude and will seek imaginative ways to resolve cases through mediation and inter party consultations. Brian became a partner in 2010 and since then has been instrumental in improving computerisation and remote working in the firm. Brian is the Lexcel partner responsible for quality standards and he is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s data protection compliance.
Outside of work Brian is a father of three and when he gets the time is a keen cyclist, both road and mountain bike, as well as a motorbike enthusiast.
