After reading Law at Queens University Belfast, Deirdre qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Despite the property recession Deirdre forged a career in Real Estate. She began her career in a commercial law firm with a particular focus on negotiating with Banks on behalf of clients with property portfolios that were heavily indebted. She also gained considerable experience acting for developers in the acquisition and assembley of developments and site sales.
She joined the Property Department of Diamond Heron in 2015 and advises in all areas of commercial and residential property law. She acts for a wide range of clients including one of the largest banks in Ireland, a large multi-national housing developer, high net worth private clients as well as the nervous first time buyer. She prides herself on being responsive to the needs of her clients and establishing strong relationships with the key stakeholders in the property market including estate agents, government bodies and banks.
She was promoted to Partner in January 2021 and oversees the Property Department. She is also the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Diamond Heron responsible for overseeing the firm’s anti-money laundering policies and procedures.
Outside of work she balances family life with a love of fashion, reading and travel.
